Desire Project
I have enjoyed every single rehearsal choreographing and creating exciting new movement ideas with the students of Broughton High School as part of the Scottish Ballet Education Programme. Using art as our inspiration we created work that will be on display along side the art at the Modern Art Gallery. I am extremely proud of my dancers and as a Thank You gift Michelle and I got them a present to say thank you. The project was a great oppertunity to network within the dance community as there was Arts Council members, Chorographers, Photographers for Local Newspapers as well as other people. Hope you enjoy the show......

Taking Flight Tour 2012
Well today was the start of Tour week and after all the hard work that has been put in we are looking forward to our first performance at Queensferry High School. The tour wouldn't have been the same without someof the usual antics from the BA Dance 2012.... Miss Parry Tavakoli slept in! Lucky enough myself and the other Tour Managers: Nicole Green and Joanne Allison were nearby to give her a personal wake up call! Lets get this Show on the road girls :)
Christmas Show
This week has been prettyy hectic with all the rehearsals for the Christmas show First Footing. We are doing a lyrical Jazz piece with Laura Proudfoot and an upbeat girly Jazz piece with the lovely Mr Chriss Kidd. Rehearsals are pretty intense. However im sure that the BA Students of 2012 can pull through and put on a specacular show for our friends and family. Lets make my first show at Edinburgh's Telford College the best one yet!

The last few weeks have been hectic! I have been involved in many things.....IG Photoshoot, Telford College Christmas Showcase, BA Tour Duties and a performance at Polmont Prison. "Unbound" a performance I watched at Polmont Young Offenders Prison, was an amazing piece of work that touched me in a way that no other dance piece has. The performance was lead by choreographer Rhianna Laws, who challenged 5 young boys aged between 16-21 to participate in Contemporary Dance workshops. I also participated in these workshops @ Telford College which were based upon the themes of: the weight of the world on your shoulders, pathways in life and reaching out for help. Watching these young boys perform and lay their souls for all to see instead of putting on a macho front was truly inspirational. During the pre-performance chat on of the boys said "I just want my family to be proud' and after the performance I am sure they will be, there was not a dry eye in the room.

This week has been crazy!!!
Performing at SQA Awards was a great experience allowed me to bond with the other girls in the group. This was my first chance to put my Tour Manager duties into action, by directing the driver of the bus as the Sat Nav was taking us the wrong way........ OOOOOOPPPPS.
I've also been doing a video reel for IG Dance this week to promote our troupe. Thanks to the lovely Brian Hayes for the photography, the pictures look amazing :) xxxxx
